WELCOME TO DOOMVERINE KEEP

Doomverine Keep is a Doom II map i made with a main rule in mind:

make one room per day.

alongside that, when a room is done, it's done. i can't go back and modify it- i.e., i can't modify the entrance or the first room after i finished working on them.

the exception is if i forget to make a leadup to the corridor, which transitions the rooms. then i'm allowed to add it in. the intent is to let my improvement show over time.

each room also has a theme to it, with every set of 10 rooms having a theme to it. the ultimate goal is to make 100 rooms.

however, if you aren't super interested in the whole improvement over time aspect, there is a revised version where i DO go back and modify the rooms i already made.

you can play that if you're interested in a (hopefully) smoother gameplay experience, with bug fixes, visual fixes and adjusted gameplay aspects.

i'll be skipping the revised version for every other version i make til i reach v1.0, aka the full map is made- revised 0.1 exists only to show off the whole "revised" idea.

version 0.1 encompasses the first 10 rooms, which have a theme of "getting used to Doom Builder".

version 0.1 is also made in the BOOM map format, which means that it probably is compatible with the whole DOSBox thing, but from v0.1 onwards i'll be mainly mapping with GZDoom in mind, using the UDMF format.

this is balanced around Hurt Me Plenty, but it should also work fine in Ultra-Violence.

!!! it's highly recommended to save at the start of every room, especially if you're playing the unrevised version. !!!
